I learned that from a Canadian friend of mine. It was a confusing and funny conversation!

I used to work for a travel agency called YYZ Travel. It was always confusing when dealing with airlines in the US. I had to make sure they weren't confusing zee with cee and. YYC would be Calgary.

Interpreting the letter for those of us who say it wrong!

If the letters were chromosomes, there would be an extra male one. That causes all kinds of troubles.

The choice of letters to me suggests that this business claims to be the ultimate/best one! Thought that could be said for one claiming the letter "A"! Hmmmmmmm

An allusion to our beloved airport.

Zed is the word. :)

Zed is correct and so is colour rather than color.

I'm wondering how they selected this name.

I learned that it was zed when I took French in high school. And a small "A to Zed" British dictionary I have.
