Our local food pantry feeds about 5-7 percent of the whole town every year, but over the last two years the trend is down. Both food and money to run the pantry is donated by local residents. It is a worthy cause.

It's nice to see a food drive that's not just around Christmas. People are hungry YEAR-ROUND! They sure make it easy for people to donate!
It looks like food banks are never going to go away. It's good to know they are there when the going gets tough.
The economic crisis is worldwide and even some of the "rich" nations have many families that are suffering. This is a good initiative, Lesley.
