Not being fluent in Russian, I'll take your word for it! ;-)

  2. I'm assuming that this plate was attached to a Mazda! otherwise, I'd have no idea what it meant!

  3. why thank you for that, Andy!!
I took it far too literally -
    Mir (Soviet space station) and
    Lada (the Russian car)

  4. so it's a vanity plate! I wonder if potential clients bother looking it up like you did, Andy.

  5. Interesting! I didn't even know there was a Russian car named that. And now I read the comments and learned it stands for something else anyway. Learning through blogging!

    Thanks for hosting!!

  7. A Lada was not a car one would normally admit to owning - even Skoda owners looked down on Ladas.

  8. What an interesting story behind the numberplate! I had no idea about Ladas anyway, so this numberplate would have just been a mystery to me!

  9. Nope...we didn't sit on the porch. It was the Bed and Breakfast. A precious place with beautiful flowers. We did giggle lots...a 30 something playing with a 70 something...we made quite the pair. Nice license plate, but I would not have know it was Russian. genie
