I'd never heard of souvlaki until recently and only now via blog posts - not come across it in the UK at all but then I don't go looking for Greek restaurants,
Back in the day when my husband and I would visit his step-mother in Detroit, traditionally we'd eat our evening meal in a Greek restaurant. That's where I first tasted lamb. YUM! Too bad you couldn't recommend the ORIGINAL souvlaki.

I have only tried souvlaki a few times. But i know that there are a number of restaurants in my world that specialise in it.
Seeing the souvlaki sign makes me hungry. ;)
we just out for greek on sunday. i picked a gyros, yum!
