I have a serious dislike for these stick family stickers that people put on the rear windows of their cars. But now, I am finding them in grocery store windows as well!
I have no idea why those stick figures are such a fad. They prove nothing except look like some child's first drawing usually found in pride on the family fridge.
Well, I prefer them to that decal of a boy (Calvin?) taking a leak! Anyway, there are several anti-stick figure stickers around, usually some creature eating them.
i hate those stick figure family stickers too, so annoying! the ones in the grocery ad don't bug me as much as on vehicles....i like that fresh is becoming cheaper!

Stick figures show how simple lines can still have an impact and send a message the way a well-imagined cartoon often does. But yes a lot of people are not in the least bit fond of them.
I agree with you re the car window decals. Seriously tired of them; hasn't been my 'privilege' to see anywhere else yet. Maybe I'll get lucky.
ReplyDeleteI am so with you on these figures.
ReplyDeleteCount me in among those that dislike those stickers.
ReplyDeleteAs if children (or parents) are ever that happy to do grocery shopping.
ReplyDeleteLesley, I think those stick folks are DUMB! Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteI don't like them either. I saw a bumper sticker once that said "F*** you and your little stick family!" I laughed so hard!
ReplyDeleteFreschco is the name of the fictional supermarket in Coronation Street!

ReplyDeleteI wonder if they're using those so they don't have to pay a real illustrator to make signs.
