Tear-downs are happening here in Fort Myers too -- along the river there are a lot of sweet small waterfront homes that are being bought, torn down, and replaced by mansions. Hate to see it.
I'm so tired of society's philosophy that "bigger is better." Our nation has learned nothing from the debacle where so many people lost their homes because of buying expensive homes.

This is very common sight in my neck of the woods. The bigger the better for a few but locals can rarely afford to live in these new mansions.
