The first time we (west coast people) visited your Lake I was in utter awe. It's an ocean! You can read all about the Great Lakes in school, but , in my case at least, it didn't really hit home until I actually stood on the shores how immense they are.

As a kid I lived not too far from Lake Erie. It is not my favorite Great Lake, but the sign is most appealing.
