Its indeed a kind of danger sign. But how? Beware of golfers?
the golf course is on both sides of the road in this area - the club house and parking lot on one side with the course on the other.
New to me too.
That is either a golfer or a warning for people pulling oxygen tanks. Never have seen a sign like this one.

I don't think I've ever sign a similar sign near a golf course, but it's a long walk...
I usually these signs with a golf cart, but I think walking would be better exercise!
