Now that's an unexpected sign. I would almost expect the warning to say that certain artificial trees are a fire hazard.
It's actually very common here in apartment buildings and condos that real trees are not allowed. most artificial trees are fire retardant, but not fire resistant.
That is kinda sad. Granted I've only had my one noma tree that is now over 25 years old and still in good shape. I like the idea of living trees too in pots for replanting :)
Having seen in the news a rash of fires this past week, (and one claiming the lives of two children) I understand the management's concern. Hopefully the residents will remain safety conscious, no matter what type of decorations they are using.~Lindy
Ha-ha I should maybe send this to the manager of our apartments but it might give her ideas.
The joys of apartment living!
I've never heard of this kind of restriction before. I suppose it makes sense. I makes me kind of sad, though.
While I love real trees, we have used an artificial one for the past several years. It is still Christmas, and it works.
I had never thought about it before!
Well, I suppose artificial trees are "greener" too! Thanks for hosting, Lesley!
I'm glad the sign company I use in Chicago is better than this.
